About Aimrite Guns:
Aimrite’s “Venom Railgun” is based on the lightweight and manoeuvrable South African design, which is used by competition spearfishermen worldwide. The concept behind this style of gun is to provide a very strong and rigid weapon that provides a more “line-of-sight” style of shooting as well as an extended reach.
Aimrite was founded in 1998 in America when it began constructing trigger mechanisms for some of the finest custom speargun builders in the world. Over the past decade, Aimrite’s trigger mechanisms has accounted for over ten thousand custom spearguns in circulation worldwide. After perfecting one of the world’s most reliable trigger mechanisms, Aimrite answered the call to build an equivalent European design trigger. Using the same technology that was previously employed, Aimrite sought out the most accomplished material experts in the country. The investment in material research has resulted in the strongest, most durable and effective railgun available today. Aimrite’s railgun components are manufactured to exacting standards with repeatable accuracy. Aimrite’s trigger, which is the heart and soul of the Aimrite railgun, is investment casted from 15-5 heat treated stainless steel and is over 10 mm thick to provide strength and longevity! The triggers are then electroplated for corrosion resistance. To date, no other manufacturer in the world uses better materials nor builds a stronger railgun! Each and every gun built is hand assembled and meticulously tested; each trigger goes through a rigorous testing process that includes trigger pull at various test pressures. The trigger is tested and fired smoothly with loads up to 250kg, which is like using seven 16mm bands! This is done to ensure that the Aimrite product exceeds all safety requirements beyond any shadow of doubt. Aimrite Railguns incorporate a very unique feature which we call “Safety Assist”*. This device is completely quiet and assists the diver with any accidental discharge of the weapon while in the water. It is a simple device that is actuated by squeezing your middle finger prior to taking a shot.
*Please note that Aimrite Australia and Spear-It, advocate that the only safe gun is one that is not loaded. At no time should a speargun be loaded or unloaded outside of the water or left loaded for transportation. At no time should a loaded speargun be pointed in a direction that is not safe, remember the only safe speargun is one that is not loaded.
Warranty
Aimrite will warrant Aimrite railguns manufactured by Aimrite against any and all manufacturer’s defects in materials and workmanship which effect the satisfactory operation of the item being warranted. Aimrite will warrant the reliable function of any Aimrite railgun assembled at the Aimrite factory for the lifetime of the railgun.
The liability of Aimrite is limited to repair or replacement of only those parts determined by our staff to be defective and shall never exceed the original price of the railgun. The decision to repair or replace a warranted railgun will be made by Aimrite as necessary to provide the customer with a properly operating finished product of equal or lesser value. Aimrite assumes no liability for accidental or consequential damages.
This warranty does not include the consumable items such as bands, shaft, rigging or the protective finishes. Abuse, mishandling, or alteration/modification of the railgun will void all warranties. Shipping cost to and from Aimrite is the responsibility of the owner.
